Firenze, Italy - end of trip

Firenze was absolutely gorgeous and my favorite!! It was incredibly hot! By this point in the trip we were tired of walking and tired of being hot. I ate so much cheese I didnt even want to look at caprese for fear of being ill. Plus, we were completely over the touriesty stuff so we didn't go into any muesem's, just walked around and looked at everything. That was one of the best things about us traveling together - to both of us, guided tours seemed about as fun a watching ice melt-boring! I just wanted to be able to get into my own car instead of a train, drink a diet coke with suffeciant ice cubes, and watch something on TV other then CNN or BBC - the only english channels we got. Pics you will see: the policeman at the train station on those Segways (they looked like they were having a blast!), scenery pics of downtown called Ponte Vecchio - the bridge as you walk through it is entirely gold and jewelry shops (GORGEOUS!), Boboli Garden is where all the statues where - John wanted me to sit on the giant turtle but it was metal and sooo hot that I couldn't even touch it! I wanted to be like the naked guy on the turtle (only not naked :)). You'll also see the view of Firenze from the top of the Boboli Gardens and some cute pics of John. The pic with him looking sad by the pizzeria - he talked about eating at this place since the day we decided to go, he was sooo excited-apparently it has the best pizza in all of Italy. Well the one day we could go it was closed!! So we went to some other place that sold pizza and got silly so we took pics of each other to see who was better at being crosseyed. And the one where John's head is cut off-we had the server lady take our picture and she was so nervous she cut John's head off!! There were so many more pics I remember John taking but don't know where they ended up.
So that is the end of the trip! We came home on the 17th and where very excited to be back in America...not that we didn't love Italy but we heart SoCal!
